By analysing the tachograph chart recordings or data, we can trace a vehicle's movements up to the point of impact. This can be used to:

• Determine the speeds the vehicle travelled at prior to a collision
• Trace the route taken prior to an incident and identify any stops
• Corroborate or negate a driver or drivers' version of events
